Get Involved with the LINk

The LINk aims to find out the issues and concerns of local people before deciding what action to take. Actions could range from raising the issue with the service provider or commissioner to running a consulation event to making a referral to the Council's Health Scrutiny Committee or other care watchdogs.

The LINk relies on feedback from members and participants to ensure that issues are brought to light. It also relies on the time and dedication of volunteers to make follow up these issues. LINk members can sit on working groups or committees, participate in public meetings or workshops, or be trained to 'Enter and View' health and social care premises where required. Please see 'Ways to Participate' for more information.

The underlying principle of the LINk is that it is up to the members to set the direction and priorities. The most important step for people new to the LINk is to become a member.
